Standing Subcommittees
The standing subcommittees are vital to the SDC's work. If you join the SDC, you can choose to join any of the subcommittees. If you're already a member of the SDC and want to join a subcommittee, email the subcommittee chair using the address below.
Outreach
Reaches out to other organizations and members of the community.
Campaign
Liaises with campaign committees to make sure all Democratic efforts in Staunton are in sync, and our great candidates have the support they need to win.
Precinct and Ward
Handles precinct-level organizing and organizes poll workers.
Operations
Coordinates the day-to-day operational needs of the SDC, like managing the office, handling IT tasks, etc.
Nominations
Seeks out passionate, competent local Democrats who want to serve their community in a variety of positions.
Publicity
Runs the blog, interacts with the media, and otherwise works to get our message out to the community
Fundraising
Raises money to allow the SDC to continue doing its work.
By-laws
Periodically reviews and revises the by-laws of the organization
