This Privacy Policy explains how information about you may be collected, used and disclosed by the Staunton Democratic Committee (“SDC”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect when you use our websites, mobile sites, mobile applications, and other online services that link to this Privacy Policy or when you otherwise interact with us.
We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the date at the top of the policy and, in some cases, we may provide you with additional notice (such as adding a statement to our website or sending you an email notification if possible). COLLECTION OF INFORMATION
INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE TO US
We collect information you provide directly to us digitally or physically. For example, we collect information when you fill out a form, make a donation, send us an email, sign up for an event, sign up to receive email or other updates, sign a petition, sign up as a volunteer, create an account, schedule an event, sign up to attend an event, participate in a contest or promotion, make a purchase or contribution, communicate with us via third party social media sites, request information, or otherwise communicate with us or through our platform or in person. The types of information we may collect include your name, contact information (including email address, social media handles, user names, postal address, phone number, mobile number, credit card information and other payment information, other information you choose to provide.
In addition, the Federal Election Commission (“FEC”) and other election reporting entities may require us to collect and share certain personal information from donors. For example, the FEC may require us to collect (and disclose) the name, mailing address, occupation, employment status, and name of employer of all individuals whose donations exceed $200 per election cycle.

In addition, if you make a donation to ActBlue for our benefit, we will obtain certain information about you from ActBlue.

You may receive text messages (SMS/MMS) from us periodically where your phone number is derived from outside databases and not from information you have provided to us. We do not control the content of these outside databases and you can always opt out of receiving those SMS/MMS messages by texting STOP at any time in response to those texts.

Our website may contain links to other websites. For example, we may link to third-party sites to facilitate donations or purchases. Any personal information you provide on such linked pages is provided directly to that third party and is subject to that third party’s privacy policy, and not this privacy policy. SOCIAL SHARING FEATURES
Our website may offer social sharing features and other integrated tools (such as the Facebook “Like” button), which let you share actions you take on our website with other media, and vice versa.
