As Democrats, we believe in true democracy -- government that works for the people and respects their rights.
Democratic Events
The Staunton Democratic Committee holds a variety of events, including a monthly meeting of the full membership, monthly coffee, and a monthly meeting of the executive committee, all of which are open to the public. We also hold a variety of one-off events, and encourage our members to attend local government meetings community events, and events held by other local progressive organizations. General Meetings
The Staunton Democratic Committee holds a meeting the second Tuesday of every month. A social hour is held starting at 6:00, and the business meeting begins at 7:00. Meetings are open to the public.
Coffee
Come talk about the news of the day and enjoy fresh coffee (or other beverage)! We meet for coffee on the first and third Thursday of the month between 9 and 11 AM at the Nu Beginnings farm store (221 N. Lewis St. in Staunton).
Exec Meetings
The SDC Executive Committee meets on the first Tuesday of each month at the SDC headquarters.
